Growing up as an only child I have had the pleasure of maintaining my parents undivided attention. Because of this, I've gained many qualities and interests from both my parents. My mom comes from a family of southern cooks (I'm adopted, by the way) and fashionistas. Two traits I've conquered quite well. My dad loves all of his vehicles just about as much as his family (an understatement but for all you guys out there you know it's quite true) and coached sports my whole life. As a result I'm a car aficionado and can hold my own in any sports conversation or game.

Both my parents are avid readers. I grew up around books. When I was younger it was a book before a TV show for me. Today, I attribute my love for reading to my love for writing. Oddly enough I didn't go to college for writing but for biology and business.

Paving my own path

As a recent graduate I am still paving my own path in life. I've always had a deep desire, more than that, to travel and conquer the world. I have the most ambitious goal of visiting nearly every country in the world. I love photography and prefer to be behind the camera as opposed to in front. My favorite thing is to capture people and nature in the raw, unedited form of life. I would love to be able to turn my passions into a career of a travel writer/photographer.

Oh the life

As it is, I am using my background in business and marketing to volunteer at a non-profit, starting creating a web-writing presence for myself and take a class or two here and there. Oh, and the unfortunate task of job-hunting.
